Hypothetical and Historical Performance
Any historical pattern data, outcome statistics, or performance metrics displayed on the Platform are based on backtested or historical observations. Such data is hypothetical and has inherent limitations:
- Past performance is not indicative of future results
- Hypothetical results do not reflect actual trading
- Actual results may differ materially due to market conditions, liquidity, slippage, and execution factors
- No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown
- Backtested results are prepared with the benefit of hindsight and may be over-optimized
Historical statistics, pattern frequencies, and outcome data are provided for informational context only and should not be construed as performance guarantees, trading recommendations, or predictions of future results.
Data Sources and Limitations
Positioning data is derived from licensed institutional feeds and proprietary methodologies, including synthetic estimates and derived calculations for certain instruments. While we strive for accuracy, FX Engineer does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data.
Data may be subject to:
- Reporting delays
- Revisions
- Interpolation or estimation
- Methodological changes
- Temporary outages or inaccuracies
Data sources may include retail or other participant classifications that are not indicative of institutional positioning. Positioning extremes can persist longer than expected. FX Engineer is not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in source data or derived calculations.
Risk Disclosure
Trading foreign exchange, futures, options, CFDs, and other financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.
Leveraged trading can result in losses exceeding your initial investment. You could lose some or all of your initial investment. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Key risks include but are not limited to:
- Leverage Risk: Small market movements can have a disproportionately large impact on your position
- Market Volatility: Prices can move rapidly and unpredictably, especially during news events
- Liquidity Risk: Markets may become illiquid, making it difficult to exit positions at desired prices
- Gap Risk: Prices may "gap" significantly between trading sessions, particularly over weekends
- Counterparty Risk: Your broker or counterparty may default on obligations
- Currency Risk: Exchange rate fluctuations may affect returns on foreign investments
You should carefully consider your financial situation, risk tolerance, and investment objectives before trading.
No Guarantee of Outcomes
FX Engineer makes no guarantee of any trading outcome, profitability, or investment performance. All trading decisions and their outcomes are solely your responsibility.
The information provided on the Platform should not be the sole basis for making any trading or investment decision. Markets are inherently unpredictable, and no analytical framework can guarantee successful outcomes. FX Engineer is not responsible for any trading losses incurred while using or relying on Platform content.
Order Execution and Stop-Loss Limitations
Stop-loss orders, take-profit orders, and other risk-reducing strategies may not always be executed at intended prices. Market conditions, including rapid price movements, gaps, and low liquidity, may result in execution at prices significantly different from specified levels.
Slippage occurs when orders are executed at a different price than requested. Slippage can be positive or negative and is common during volatile market conditions or around major news events.
Risk-reducing orders or strategies should not be relied upon as guaranteed protection against losses.
Weekend and Market Gap Risk
Financial markets may close for trading during weekends, holidays, and other periods. When markets reopen, prices may "gap" significantly from closing levels due to events that occurred while markets were closed.
Weekend gaps can result in positions being opened or closed at prices substantially different from expected levels. Stop-loss orders held over weekends or market closures may be executed at levels significantly worse than their specified price.
Traders should be aware of market hours and consider reducing exposure before extended market closures.
Foreign Market Risks
Foreign markets involve different risks than domestic markets. In some cases, risks may be greater. The potential for profit or loss from transactions on foreign markets or in foreign currency will be affected by fluctuations in foreign exchange rates.
Enhanced risks include:
- Political instability or policy changes
- Economic policy shifts by governments or central banks
- Currency controls or restrictions
- Changes in tax treatment of foreign investments
- Different regulatory environments and investor protections
Such factors may substantially and permanently alter the conditions, terms, marketability, or price of foreign currencies and financial instruments.
Electronic Trading Risks
Trading via electronic platforms carries inherent risks including but not limited to:
- Hardware and software failures
- Internet connectivity issues
- System downtime and maintenance periods
- Data transmission delays or failures
- Cybersecurity threats
FX Engineer is not responsible for losses arising from technical failures, system outages, or connectivity issues affecting the Platform or any third-party services.
Use of Derived Metrics
Metrics such as velocity, regime classification, persistence, exhaustion, reliability, and related constructs are analytical transformations of raw positioning data.
These metrics:
- Describe observed structural behavior
- Do not represent trader intent, sentiment, belief, or conviction
- Do not imply probability, likelihood, or expected outcome
Interpretation of these metrics requires independent judgment and should be integrated alongside other analytical frameworks.
No Fiduciary Relationship
